Ayala Land, Inc. traces its roots to Ayala Corporation, the oldest business house in the Philippines founded in 1834. With interests in banking, insurance, telecommunications as well as electronics, Ayala Corporation is best known for establishing the country’s premiere business district - the Makati Central Business District.
In 1988, Ayala Corporation spun off its real estate division into an independent subsidiary, a move that gave Ayala Land greater latitude to pursue its developmental activities. In mid-1991, Ayala Land was listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange.
Today, the Company continually brings depth of understanding and expertise to the development of mixed-use communities. It has gained the competence and experience to plan and design various large-scale projects and to translate these plans into commercially successful, progressive and high-quality developments
OUR BUSINESS
The primary business mission of Ayala Land, Inc. is to add value to land. We accomplish this mission mainly by developing and marketing large-scale planned communities, where value is generated by the synergistic integration of a complete mix of mutually-reinforcing land uses, by the high aesthetic and quality standards we apply to development planning and implementation, and by our organizational commitment to long-term presence and after-sales service.
In addition, we derive significant further added value from the land by developing and marketing individual strategic land uses within the framework of the larger planned community, including medium-density townhouses, high-rise residential and office towers, or mixed-use regional shopping, entertainment and commercial centers. The values generated by these important facilities will naturally accrue not just to the individual land parcels on which they are built, but also to the overall community as a whole. Because of the diversity of high-quality land use elements that we develop and operate within planned multi-use communities, we tend to take a longer-term approach to land development than if we had limited our business to one or another of the various land uses making up a complete community.
